Create the interface
Install React and see your changes.
The terminal is in the application
Enter these commands in the WebFront terminal. wf create life creates starter sources in ui/ without overwriting an existing directory. wf init creates the manifest. wf install verifies packages and records exact versions in the lock. wf dev compiles TSX and opens the preview.

Open life-project/ui/main.tsx and style.css in your usual editor. Change a colour and save: wf dev rebuilds the interface. If a build fails, the last successful preview remains and a diagnostic appears. Ctrl+C stops watching. wf build compiles once.
Choose dependencies
Only browser-compatible packages are supported. Installation scripts and native add-ons do not run. The lock supports wf restore on another machine; wf restore --offline verifies an existing cache. Compilation strips types; type checking is a separate wf check step.
